OUR JOURNEY IN MISSIONS

In 2012, we both, individually, felt passionate about participating in missions. The vision was unclear and we had no long term direction but we knew "this was it". After our wedding in 2013, we spent two years in Honolulu, Hawaii working with YWAM Honolulu's Discipleship Training Program. As leaders in this school we took teams out into the nations for short term outreaches. Though each location was different, we experienced similarities each time we were in Asia. Amazing people, deeply loved by God who had needs. The needs varied from essentials such as clean water, food, and shelter to disturbing such as safety from political persecution or freedom from sex slavery to less apparent needs like understanding their individual value in the world and access to the Gospel. It wasn't immediately clear to us what our long term part would be in all this need we were seeing, but our passion for being actively involved in some way was solidified.

In 2015 we moved to Lakeside, Montana. Still in YWAM we stepped into a role of students in a nine month school called the School of Biblical Studies. It was in these nine months that we began to develop a more clear vision for our part in missions. We each found our passion in studying the Bible as we had seen the need for sound teaching in the churches across the world and saw the transformative power of the Gospel in our lives and the lives of others. After we graduated we continued with the school as staff and realized we love to teach the Bible as much as we loved to study it. Over the next few years our vision solidified even more and we continued to make steps in investing toward the long term goal of being missionary Bible teachers.

In 2019 we began our Masters of Arts program with Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, which we graduated from in May of 2022. Our intention in this program was to become further equipped to train pastors and leaders specifically in under resourced areas. While we were pursuing our degrees, we came in contact with an organization called Mesa Global.

Mesa Global is actively engaged in the ministry we feel called to - namely, building up the global church through training of pastors and leaders in under resourced areas. You can read more about this partnership here.
